Fujinomiya City has four sake wineries. All of them were founded in the Edo period (1603-1868), and they use spring water from Mount Fuji and well-selected rice as ingredients to create flavorful sake while carrying on the tradition.
In recent years, the production of local beer and wine has also become popular.
Fujinomiya City boasts one of the largest production volumes of rainbow trout in Japan.
Rainbow trout raised in the pure spring water of Mount Fuji has no strong smell or flavor, and can be enjoyed in a variety of dishes, such as sashimi and grilled with salt.
It is located next to the Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine Ninotorii Gate, and offers a wide variety of Fujinomiya's specialty products.
