That deity is "Konohanasakuyahime-no-mikoto", who has the power of both fire and water, and is said to have used that power to calm the eruptions of Mount Fuji.
Shiraito no Taki Waterfalls

- Mount Fuji's spring water gushes out from the cracks in the lava cliffs as several hundred waterfalls in various sizes, 20 meters high and 150 meters wide in total. This spring water is from rain and snow that fell on Mount Fuji, seeped into the ground, and reached Shiraito no Taki Waterfalls over a long period of time.
